I came across this Rubicon but can't find any vin numbers or tags to help me identify the year. I took some pictures and would like to get it back to running condition

Looks like the same vintage as mine, 2001. They all look the same 01-04 pretty much.

That's what I was thinking. The vin is rusted out so I can't get the right date and I need the air box and everything since it was torn out. The engine and trans are strong but the body has been best to ****.

Ya? This doesn't have an air box that's why I want to know the exact year I'd hate to buy one and find out it doesn't fit

I think in 2004 they came out with the manual 4WD switch. Prior was full time 4WD. My 2003 is full time 4WD. My 2004 450ES has the switch. I remember back then I wish I had a 2004.

I'm pretty sure it's an 01 from what I can gather from the vin which is nearly impossible to read. 01-03 are all about the same.
