Honda quality and reliability

I read a post or two in other forums saying that Honda ATV quality/reliability aren't what they use to be. One post said that Honda's ATVs have gone downhill since 2005. What do you all think? Are today's Honda ATV engines, frames, transmissions, etc. as good as in the past? I have a 2006 Foreman ES and am hoping they are!

i know of three rubicons that were junk. my 03 rubicons tranny, ecm, angle sencer, control motor, and oil pump went bad then i sold it. my dads 04 rubicon is having trouble with problem codes right now. it only happens every once and a while though. a person i ride with 02 rubicon also had trouble with electrial parts, but he sold it. my paps 03 rancher is having trouble with the ESP. another person i ride withs 05 rancher is having trouble with the whole wiring. someone on here will try to say that all of this just happened. i am done with honda, i have had my kawasaki for about a year with not trouble at all.
to be honest with you i think that the foreman 500's are the best hondas out now, they are the old foreman 450's but are just bored out. if i would ever get a honda that is what i would get. i think you will like your new foreman.

we have hard you foreman500 for 1.5 years and have had no problems except the clutch plate recall but that was fixed for free and it was only on certain 05s
the foreman 500 is completly different from the 450, it is a completely redesigned engine and frame. and as for quality i am starting to wonder as well, i took my bike back for the clutch plate recall, they replaced it and now it is coming loose, now i am told i might need a new crank because the plate has worn out the splines on the crank, if i put a new plate on it will just come loose again, i am not happy about having to pull my bike apart at the begining of summer, the thing is what else can you buy thats better, even though honda's arne't as good as they used to be they still out last everything else. just my opinion any ways.
All my Honda's have been bullet proof except for that POS Rincon.

i don't want to get rid of my foreman, i love the machine but i can't believe that i would have to get a new crank to fix the problem, especially since i only have 3400 km on the bike. and who's to say that it won't happen again, i think honda needs to start designing things a little better and live up to the reputation they have created for themselves.
i know what you are saying Rincon Killer, i was in the same situation you were about a year ago. i was havin trouble with my angle sencer and ECM's. i had about 6 angle sencers that failed and three ECM's that failed. i loved my honda but buying all this stuff all the time was starting to get old. i was thinking about selling it then my tranny went out, after that happened i was done, i fixed everything and traded it in. i hope you can get your bike fixed though. you dont know if its going to happen again or not.

They are gonna fit the bill on this aren't they? It should be warranty work, even if this is the second time, because the whole point of the recall was because the clutch plate was coming loose and it says on the recall notice that Honda would replace anything worn out due to this.
