Well Ive got 3 carbs to do on my Kawasaki triple project and was just curious? How expensive is lemon juice?
Or can you just reuse the same batch for all 3 carbs?
I realize I could just boil all three carbs worth a stuff at the same time but if I do that Ill have a big batch of carb parts and not know which parts went to wich carb! lol
Im pretty good just using carb cleaner but Im gonna have a go at this lemon juice process.

i have ben using the same stuff and have done 8 to 10 carbs all you have to do is add a little water from evaperation ! IMO the more you use it the stronger it gets !!!!!

Hello Rich - please keep in mind that I'm a total noob, but are there any not so obvious parts that need to be removed that may not be obvious to the untrained eye? Or anything that may be apparent to you be maybe not to me? This tip sounds like what I need before attempting any kind of carb rebuild for my new foreman.

And thanks to you and SS for all of your helpful posts here on this forum, I've been trolling it pretty hard lately and you have been most helpful in many of them.

carbs are realy easy to rebuild . just start off with a clean area to work then get a manual that has a lot of pictures (pm me and ill send you one if needed) and a few hand tools . just start taking it apart untill you cant take it apart anymore.and keep trak of what came off where ......we are here to help if needed

Hey Rich, as you know from my thread about my 02 Rubi not taking fuel after a new jet kit...Well, i have tried everything that has been suggested....Took apart, cleaned with carb cleaner, blew out with compressor and insured all jets were in the correct location about 5 times now...I even re installed the old jets just to see if it made a difference..NO GO....Still wont take fuel without pulling the choke lever while giving it fuel...Think this method may fix my issue? Surely cantt hurt..lol....The funny thing is though, that my Rubi started right up before and ran good, just had a little bit of hesitation when fuel was applied and idles a little rough compared to my 06 Rancher, so i figured that a complete rebuild would solve this...So far all i have managed to do is render my Rubi useless....Also, im gonna send you a PM for an 02 Rubi service manual if you have one....Thanks everyone!

My grandad showed me this one as a kid, this post got me to thinking I'm a DIY guy but I was raised on the family farm where we had to be DIY cuz we had no money to pay for it to be done. But as a whole our dads and grandads knew their ****!! Because they had to! And there are thousands of those little tricks rattling around up in the heads of the generations before us. And generally our generation has become "call the pro" wth?!?!? There are sites like this one everywhere don't be a sissy metro guy(there are other words I would like to use here) get out there and get your hands dirty. Don't be afraid of making a mistake! Mistakes are usually followed by miraculous innovations! Be an innovator, not a microwaver!

I'd like to add my exp. to this.
I happened to have an empty gallon size can of baked beans I used so I didn't have to worry about cleaning the soot and all off momma's pot.

The first of the two I did I got interupted after pulling the carb out of the juice and it sat for 15min or so before I got back to it. Well it got sticky and gummy to the point I wound up having to re do it.
So I would recomend that as soon as you pull it out rinse it don't get interrupted.

Think I might try this on the old Honda Generator (and the 83 John Deere lawnmower I'm still nursing along). I'll let ya'll know how it works. Pics of the generator carb are posted in a separate thread. If this works on that carb, it will work on anything!

How cool is that! I'm going to give it a try just for the heck of it....now I need to find a dirty carb! I knew Tomato's can be used as hand cleaner, never thought about Lemon juice.
I didn’t know about the tomatoes!! Was reading along and seen that! BUT DID YOU KNOW squished up blueberries work to remove blueberry stains from your hands 😁 hahahaha idk about anything else coming off besides that tho haven’t experimented that far yet 👍🏻
