Tried to install pipe tonight would not fit onto header pipe! happen to anyone else? the pipe only has two cuts in it stock had 5 relief cuts so to fit around header pipe?????? If I mess with it they prob want take it back.

they seem to be exactly same diam. pipes

You may have to loosen the head pipe. I had to on mine. I know th Rubi is different though. Mine was a pain to get the stocker off, more than the new one on.

well Grit I got the old one off then I took the header pipe completely off the motor and then tried to fit into the silencer(new HMF) and it appears they are same diam. so wont fit over. should I try cut two more rieief slits as to spread and slip over or send it back?

I had the same issue - I just beat the **** thing into submission!!! Once I got it on the header pipe a little, I put a 2x4 on the hmf, and pounded it till it was on good. Only bad thing is, that HMF is never comin off..lol

i had to bend them a lil bit but once it sliped on i tightened it all back together

I m going for it. it will take 6 more weeks to get a new one.

mine went on fairly easily. The instructions mention something about removing the stock gasket and discarding it, but I never actually saw a gasket. The clamp has to be real loose w/ no tension on the pipe.

yea i didnt use the stock gasket either. Truegrit the old gasket was prob in your muffler.
