bolt on and go!
That's it. Bolt on & go & if your like me, you want to wash it & make it look
pretty after every ride .
Which FMF pip is the best and quietest performance. They have a variety to chosse from?

Where is the best place to buy from?
hondude the topic is about HMF pipes and you said FMF. so if you ment HMF heres there site http://www.hmfengineering.com/ and if you ment FMF heres there site. https://www.fmfracing.com/products/cata ... egoryID=13 i hope this is what you were wanting.
Thanks, I type faster then my brain works sometimes. I want the one you all use since it seems to be the best overall.

Maybe thats why I have not been able to find them lol
Ok on the HMF pipe can anyone shed some light on the 3 different pips they offer:

The Utility Series
The Penland
The QS1 Ecosystem

http://www.hmfengineering.com/index.php ... chby=model

I want quiet but noticable power increase.

And they dont show Foreman 500 in 2005/2006. I asume you just have to call?
IF YOU WANT QUIET THEN YOU WNAT THE ECOSYSTEM, IF YOU WANT POWER YOU WANT UTILITY/NO QUIET CORE, VERY LOUD, BUT A LOT OF POWER, YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE. YOU COULD GET UTILITY W/QC NOT QUITE AS LOUD BUT STILL NOTICEBLY LOUD.
as brodie said the utility is loud and will give you power. the QS1 Ecosystem is quieter but i still thing it will give you around the same power as the utility series but im not sure. the Penland series was invented by Mike Penland and HMF just made it for him. if you dont know who this is the is a utility racer for kawasaki 4wheelers. this pipe was manly made for kawasakis but i gess there would be nothing wrong with that pipe if they make it for your bike but i dont know how the gains or noise it. i hope this helps.

Great answers guys, one last thing. If I bought the utility and the quiet core seperate , is the jetting different when the quiet core is installed? The way HMF descibes it you should be able to just insert the quiet core when needed. I seem to remember a post in the past abought someone saying it totally changed the bikes jetting??

I was told you could just take it in and out.

But im sure someone that actually knows will speak up
You can just take it in and out.

The HMF's are repackable. The packing can wear out. Ecspecially if it gets wet a lot, you will notice the pipe getting louder and louder as the packing breaks down.

I beleive HMF will repack it for $20, or you can buy the material from them and do it yourself.
YOU CAN TAKE THE QC IN AND OUT AT WILL, THAT IS WHAT I DO DURING HUNTING SEASON. HAVENT HAD TO CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THE JET YET. BUT I AM RUNNING DJ 170
The HMF is just like most aftermarket dirtbike mufflers it has a packing that wears out, and is replaceable, I have heard you can send it back to hmf and have them do it for some $$$ but you can do it yourself by drilling out the rivits on the back cap and putting in regular muffler packing, like you would put in a dirtbike pipe the muffler packing can be purchased at any Honda shop.
How long does the stock packing last on average? I've had mine for a few
months now & i can already tell it is louder than it was when i got it new.
When you drill out the rivets how do you put it back together, do you have to have it welded back in?
Re-rivet it back together.
Well there will be a different sound once the pipe is broke in, it will be somewhat louder. The life of the packing depends how much you ride and if the packing has got wet multiple times. water will shorten the life of the packing. Als when you drill out the rivets you just replace with new ones, they ar just plain 1/8 aluminum rivets.
