I wanted a reciever hitch for my 500 so I could easily tow my 12ft trailer around the yard and had a hard time finding what I wanted. I was looking through Cabela's and they have a decent selection of atv accessories. For those of you interested here's the link.

try one of these its made by Savant the same price as the other one. but you can remove the factory anchor. this is what i use and really like it. the only place that i could get it was the local stealership they had it on the shelf.
I found the Hitch Hopper on ebay for $41.95 + $15.00 shipping, and I had it with in 2 days. It is a very nice hitch, I looked everywhere before I bought this one, could not stand the thought of spending $80 plus for a atv hitch.
I have Kolpin hitch receiver, that has two ring's on the side. Work's great!!! Good for towing with a 2 inch ball and the ring's for a tow strap.
Wal Mart sells a reciever set up for $12.95. Similar to the one pictured above.
where at in walmart. and if u want to pull at 12ft trailer just put a ball on ur hitch ur good to go. im pulled a 20ft car trailer down the road bout 3 times a week.
trouble with that is you cant make a tight turn.
The problem for me is the angle of the trailer when you use the factory ball mount. It is too low and puts the majority of the trailer tongue weight on the four wheeler. The savant hitch or one like it that you can use a standard or adjustable reciever to match the height of your trailer tongue will be much better.
