use a spring compressor.
this is not a project where cold ones make it easyer
1 Spring Compressor
2 2 adults
3 Alot of cold ones
Excellent!
I guess I cant get around using the spring compressor! But paying 50 - 60 bucks for one use is wasting money in my book!
I put a lift on my buddy's Rincon and was lucky enough to live close to HL and borrowed one of their personal spring compressors. I'm sure someone or someplace close to where you live would have one and may even do it for you fairly cheap.
Lift springs

When I received the springs The instructions had partial pics of the tool,so i built one. Trust me you need that thing but it is so easy to build I would recomend you build it your self. That left me with 50 bux tospend on the radio.
what do you need to build the spring compressor. do you have to do any welding or is it just bending some steel.

Here is an old post with a few pictures of the shock compressor I made, no welding needed, just alittle cutting and drilling.

hey do those springs make it a rougher ride
Yes it will be a little rougher, they will add about 100 more lbs. to the payload of the bike.
