anyone have a good idea for new place to mount 424 selector switch mine is on the plastic under the headlight but it is working its way out off the plastic thought about welding some kind of bracket behind it but it's "female dog" to get to please help
i mounted mine on the rack. i used the same bracket and everything and it works great. also when i installed it i tilted the shifter down so mud and everything would run out of it when i clean it out.
thanks i was considering that but have some issues with my cable routing got in a hurry to try it out back when i put it on. guess i'll take the time and reroute it

Hello yellow 500 new to this site. Just installed my 424 the switch should be installed on the right if you remove the rack you can run the wire in the hole closes to the handle bars. Make shure to put it close enough towards the sit so when you steer it does not touch. One more suggestion I sandwich the plastic with 2 pieces of aluminum I have a buddy that broke his plastic because he screw it in the plastic only. Let me know if you have any questions.
