Need to replace the front right axle boot located next to disc brake. I believe it's called the outboard boot. Honda dealer say's $79.00? I think they are quoted the inboard joint?

Anyone no were I can find cheaper? and how hard to replace? I purchased the OEM Service Manual.

CV Boots get 'r' done

Ok, I change the outerboard boot yesterday. Purchased the boot from Gorilla. Quality of the heavy boot was much better than the OEM boot. Gorilla boot match up perfectly. Boot cost $30.00 and $10.00 dollars to ship

Had to by a $20 dollar puller to remove the inner shaft bearing. I removed the two bolts holding the lower swing arm and the lower bolt holding the shock. This allow enough clearence to remove drive shaft from the wheel knuckle. OEM manual recommended removing the tie rods and required a specific tool for this step?

Struggled with installing new bands used to secure the boot to the shaft. Took about four hours to complete the task. I think maybe two hours or less the next time .

Purchased the puller from Auto Zone. You can return the tool for a full refund if you choose. They have a new purchase and return tool program. I decided to keep the tool but a nice option if you need a tool that is more expensive.

Thanks for the feedback.
