Go for a radial whatever you choose. They ride so much better and if you do mostly trail riding it is well worth it. There are lots out there that aren't that pricey and they will last longer since more of the tread contacts the ground as they roll. You should check out the Carlisle ACT. Just stick with the regular .75" lug version for trail riding but they do make a tall lug version if you want a real agressive tire.
