I have the Moose complete winter pack, great setup, LED display panel with 5 heat settings for the grips and thumb individually. Not sure was its worth in the US but I paid about $120 in Canada.

Ok boys and girls, winter will be here soon, so let's talk about heated grips/ thumb warmers.
Who has 'em, what brand are you running, and what are your likes or dislikes about them.
I'm wanting to buy a set, but want to make sure I'm buying something that works as promised and is durable. I'm looking at a set made by Kimpex that has a variable resistor on a heat control knob.
All input is appreciated!

I actually prefer the moose grips to the stock ones.
I was going to ask the same question. I'm in the market for a couple of heated grip sets but have yet to find one that isn't super thick. does anyone have any experience with the Kimpex elements that you can use under your own grips?
i also used to have the moose grips, i realy liked them too. they were not fat and they were easy on the hands. my mine were called moose MUD grips, im not sure what the difference between them grips and the normal moose grips are but i really liked them.

Ooops. I meant 4 zones, not 5. The basic setup has 2 zones (grips and thumb warmer) for $99.
The 4 zone controller (grips, thumb, and 2 extra outlets for seat or foot warmers, etc.) goes for $129.
They sell the element for the seat warmer as well. It looks like a pretty neat set up. I'm just curious about the durability.

I just installed the Symtec Winter Kit. Sounds like it's the same as your moose kit. Grips are soft, provide good grip and the diameter is the same as stock. Auto shut off after 2 hours and power level memory. Just noticed another nice feature. those grips look small.. not even up to the light controlls..
I think that most aftermarket grips are shorter than the stock honda grips. I moved the throttle and lighting controls closer to the grips but had to move them back to get the plastic dash back in place. If you get a chance can you measure the length of your new grips , just to compare.
