not sure about a toyota tundra but i know it will fit in any truck with the tailgate down so i am presuming that u are meaning with the tailgate up, you might be able to fit it in backwards but might have to lift up on the front to slam the tailgate shut
Hauling a Foreman 500

I am planning to purchase a 2007 Foreman 500 and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it will fit inside the bed of a Toyota Tundra truck. It appears to be a close fit based on the dimensions given in the specifications depending on how they were measured. If anyone can share some first hand knowledge, that would be very helpful.

maybe you could use a tailgate extender if the atv is too long
Whats the measurement of your truck bed ?????
we have a ford f150 supercrew and with the bike pulled in forwards there is no possibitly of closeing the tailgate. with it backed in we can get it closed half way. i did see a Toy a month ago with a foreman in the bed i think it was pulled in forwards and the be was within a few inchs of the latches so in backwards i think i could fit.
Sorry to ask another question on someone else's post. I have a Silverado w/ 8ft box and am planning on getting a Rubicon, will that fit?
Should have no problem with an 8 ft. bed.

Thanks for the feedback. The width should fit without a problem, but the truck bed is 76" and the Foreman specs show @ 83 in for length. Loading backwards may work depending on the height near the front of the ATV. Otherwise, the tailgate will have to be down. I assume that will be ok if the ATV is properly secured. Does anyone know if there are any legal restrictions on hauling an ATV in the bed of a pickup with the tailgate down as long as it is properly secured? Anyone done this?

I have a Honda Ridgeline and my '07 foreman fits in with the tailgate down. The bed is 60" long (about 78" with the tailgate down) and 49.5" wide. Granted the foreman is 83" long, but you should measure from front center wheel to rear center wheel. Hope this helps.
if you have to drive over the fender wells it might help to have a block or somthing to stop the front wheels, seen a few back windows get knocked out
I use mine with tailgate down anytime I haul mine in Dodge Dakota. The real wheels sit on tailgate with my toolbox in back of truck. It is legal to do so, just not legal if not hauling anything (or at least that was what I was told by Highway Patrol). I even got stopped recently by a city police and no problem with tailgate down. He did have a problem with my speed however. I recently got a Louisanna Guard Dog <a href="http://www.laguarddog.com/" target="_blank">http://www.laguarddog.com/</a> and love it. You can hook up and secure in seconds and is very secure. No more straps that can break and crash through your windshield. Go to their wibsite and look at them. I got the Slack-n-ator version for about $15 more at a totol of $159. Sounds kinda pricey but how much is a rear window when you have to break quickly and strap breaks. Not to mention the time to strap down and unstrap which is a pain. It also can be used to secure and lock your ramps from theft with locks you can also purchase from them or elsewhere. Theirs are all keyed alike which is what sets theirs apart from others.

I seen a Tundra at mud stock with a foreman in the back with a trailer and a couple of other 4-wheels besides I haul mine around in the back of a ranger i just leave the tailgate down and strap it down real well.
let air out back tires

ahh got to love the 8ft beds I got a 06 Ford F-150 with tool box in back nice 8ft bed and tailgate shuts and can be locked, why people get a 6ft bed is beyond me, just limits what ya can do with a pickup might as well get an SUV if the going to get a whimpy bed
8ft beds are great, however, often a six foot bed is more convenient. Your truck is not as heavy, and when you want to slide your rear it is a lot easier w/ a 6 footer. If you buy a pick up w/ a shorter bed you can always buy a trailer to pull your stuff.
I have a 05 Tundra DC, (6.5' bed) and my foreman fits,although I cant close the tailgate. I have 27" tires and they are not to wide for the wheelwells. As someone else said, I had to put a tire in front of the fourwheeler so I didnt hit the back window. Maybe if it wasnt for that tire the gate would close, but i havnt tried it. I havnt tried it backwords either. I usaully trailer a couple wheelers, so I dont put it in the box that often. Hope it helped.
