Guys with snorks

Ok I'm really thinking of putting on intake and exaust snorkles. My problem is them being in the way while trail riding. What do you guys do when trail riding to keep from breaking your snorks?

my front one i made a little shorter than my handlebars cuz i've never had a problem with anything low enough to hit my handlebars. as for the exhaust i havent done it yet but i think im gonna get a hard rack box for the back...one thats not real tall like maybe as tall as the handlebars or shorter and making the exhaust snorkel sit up a little lower than that. if that makes sense
I don't have an exhaust snorkel but on my intake snorkel I can just unscrew it and put on a shorter one.
On the intake I can just screw in a shorter riser. The exhaust is removable by just unscrewing a union and lifting it off the support bracket.
my snork is about 8" taller than my handlebars and i haven't had any problem. it is mounted with a rubber sleeve so if i hit it with something it will just lay over and pop back up.

you can just unscrew it? after looking at that pic, i doubt that. how much trouble is it with all ur vents strapped to it? i dont see it unscrewing easily, or being replaced by a shorter one easy at all. if you do use a shorter one then u got longer vents hanging off....?

It is very hard to cut off plastic tie wraps coil up the vents and resecure them to a shorter snorkel
My vents are in the pod, and my snorkle has two sizes. one about 24" for the deep stuff, and one about the same height as the the top of the pod. I also put a basketball in the frame under the winch so that the front end does not sink, it floats. Therefore, I have not had a need for the long one.

short one for trail when you find a mud hole unscrew shorty, then screw on tall one

dude whats going on with ur front bumper? did u spray it black and now its chipping off? lol
That piece of plastic you ran your snorkel up through is removable right? I've only seen on other guy run his through that removable plastic piece. It makes a lot of since because that piece only cost $20 if you ever wanted to take your snorkel off.
the bumper is the result of idots stopping to quick in front of me and yes i used a spray on bedliner on the front but from the abuse it chips off...

the removable cover where the snork goes through is about $11 to replace. it works really good there but i may move it to the left side...

i need more rack space in front for my stereo system...
alright i did mine like yours big daddy, but i used a 1.5" pvc coupling into the air box, put 1 1/2" spa hose inside of the coupling, tightened the clamp down, ran the hose to the left side, put another 1.5" pvc coupler, then a 2" rubber 90 so it will bend when i hit trees, ran 2" pvc up and now im not getting the right amount of air or something its not acting right. I could use some help here. I hate to interrupt the post with my question, but it would much appreciated if somone could tell me what i need to do.
