How can the Vinson have 9.9 in of ground clearance, when the foreman only has 7.5? I went riding with friends that just got 2 new can-am's and holy cow they have some ground clearance! It's got me wondering about the whole ground clearance issue and I got to looking and seen that the vinson has 9.9 and I want to know how they did it. It's a srs right?

smaller chunk maybe?
Ground clearance doesn't mean sh!t when your being towed or machine is in shop waiting for parts..................

Been there, went and bought Cat's but I was always tinkering. Went back to basics...............couldn't be happier.

Owned Cat, PoPo, Yamaha and Honda. Not even a question which one is the best..............................( IMO)
I was at the shop the other day and i started looking at the brute force 650 vs the foreman in terms of ground clearance and did soem measuring myself and the foreman had more. I then looked at the Kawasaki web site and they advertise 9.0" but that is at the center of the axle and only 7.3" overall clearance. It's just a matter of smoke and mirrors, the SRA bikes all have about the same amount of ground clearance. Hope this helps.
One thing I've noticed with IRS is that when loaded the suspension really sags which decreases ground clearance.Honda's with SRA aren't affected this way.The guys I ride with really aren't fat a$$es either.
Alot of the other companys will measure the ground clearance at the center of the frame under the motor . IMO this is the most important . You may only have 7 inches under the chunk but have 10 inches under the motor . The chunk is small enough that you can get it around most obstacles . Where as the frame under the motor will hang you up everytime .
