I was just planing on buying the winch off ebay and (it comes in a kit with mounting plate) putting it on, after seeing everyone elses I am now wondering if I will be able to just put it on with out buying anything else like the ap skid plate. Just curious, What winch are you going to buy? I've been shopping for winches myself.I'm really interested in the MILE MARKER PE3500.I already have the Warn multi-mount,wiring,and brackets for my 500.

I'm looking at a VENOM 3000. I want a Warn but don't want to spend that much on one. It comes with a roller fairlead bashlin, but will it mount up to the front of the atv far enough to go thru the open space on the front or will I need to buy another one and mount it up there??????

Alot has been said on here about the Gorilla Winch as well. Sounds like it is worth the money. The 3000 is $69 and shipping is $23. Comes with the toggle switch and a cordless remote. Along witht the wireing and roller farland

Sound like a good deal, where is it at for $69? Does anyone know which is better built b/w the gorilla and venom? They are about the same price, the main differnce I found is that the venom comes with 50' cable were the gorilla has 30'.

I did alot of research and they both are about equal. Gorilla ( a little cheaper and 30 foot cable ).. Venom ( a little more expensive and more cable ). I went with the Gorilla because of the size of the housing ( for weight and space ). The venom was a little bigger and the Gorilla fit better in the front of the Rincon. I also heard from more people about the Gorilla and water usage that I did the Venom winch. All in all.. prety much the same.

Where......Ebay.. they have the 200, 2500, 3000 lb winches.

BigDaddy...did ya get your winch yet?????

I bought the Warn 2.5 for mine, and it has paid for itself in time alone!!!! I LOVE it! But, I HATE the roller fairlead....what a piece of crap that turned out to be. Anyone have any suggestions for a real roller fairlead??? The stock Warn is a joke. My bro-in-law also has a Warn on his Recon (1.5), and he has the same crappy roller set-up.

If you go back to ebay, they sell the beefed up roller farland. It has the beefier, thicker, wider rollers on it. I bought it and what a difference. The rollers are alot bigger and hold up and believe it or not, roll better.. Give it a try...

That'd be great if you can find out the brand. Anything has to be better than the stock Warn.

I'll keep checking here....post it if you can!!! Thanks a BUNCH!!

I'll trade someone my Ramsey roller fairlead for a standard hawse. I think the roller sticks out to much. I know it will fit the Warn but not sure about the rest. It is brand new, never mounted. Haven't put the #3000 wireless on anything yet.

OK....Sorry for the delay... It is made by Venom... If you go on abay and type in " ATV Winches " .. ( and put it in quotes ) it is on page 3 under New Roller Fairland. It states quality roller fairland reduces wear, assist with angle pulls, heavy duty Delron bushings & premium Zinc plated rollers to resist scratches. Definately bigger and stronger from what I can see from the one I have here....

Sorry I am an idot and cannot post the site and get you there quicker...
