Posted a previous message, but no response. Where do most people go that live around Atlanta(I'm from Canton)? I'm going to Creek Bottom this Sat.

there is two places in north ga that i know about Durahmtown and Broadriver. They are close to athens probley about 3 hours drive for you.
Rocky creek is a good place on the first weekend of the month. Their website is http://hometown.aol.com/rockycreekatv/m ... index.html

I've riddin Broad River and Rocky Creek. I like Broad River better but its 3 hours for me. Rocky Creek is only about 1.5. I'm in Powder Springs.
ive ridden both as well i like rocky creek better only cause i know were to go and not to go. Rocky creek is only 15 min from the house as well.
thanks for the info. heard lots of good things about Durhamtown! Hope to try it soon.
My cousin lives in Dallas Georgia and he helps run an atv park called Highland Park, it's just mostly trails but he said it's probably about an hour and a half from you and the website is: www.highlandparkresort.com
if you want to check it out.
thanks shepard1828 and foreWOMAN450 for the info. Myself and the guys a ride with will try then all!

Good Riding for the long weekend!!
Thanks

SWEET. I grew up in Dallas. I have already bookmarked their site since I'm on vacation next week
Highland Park

I headed out there yesterday with a couple of my buddies. Nice place. Good woods trails, well marked and some are fairly technical. Now the negative, no mud, bridges over the creeks and half the trails are motorcycle only. It is definately a new set up as they are still doing construction on the facilities. There is no wash station or shower station yet so bring you something to knock the dust off. I think this is a really nice park to ride if you like trail riding.
GREAT! I'll call my cousin and give him the "review"!! I'm sure they like the suggestions!
I asked him if there was any mud and he said no, they were "thinking" about putting in some muddy places but with the mud usually comes the people like us!! They are worried about the liability! I told him their liability is MUCH worse with the quads racing around than with us mudder's puttsing around and trying out mudholes!!! So we shall see!!!
I'm fixing to leave to head to Canoochee Creek there in Metter Ga. I'll let you know how that is when I get back.

riding

Made a trip a few weeks ago to Creek Bottom. The mud was very good even though it had not rained in a couple of weeks. The trails that were made through the planted pines were tight for the bigger atv's, but overall a GREAT experience!

Went to Whissenhunt today in Dahlonega. A very good ride and would recommend it! It has a little bit of everything. Some trails are very good to keep up your skills!
Is there a link to Wisenhunt and Creek Bottom? I see a few more road trips in my future.
both places have websites.

www.creekbottomatvtrails.com

I don't know the exact location of the website for whissenhunt, but if you put in georgia atv trails on yahoo, google, etc. you can find it.
www.georgiaoffroad.com it has just about all if the places in ga and some for tenn and alabama.Read carefully on them though, alot are for dirtbikes only.Wissenhunt is on there.
there is houston valley ohv they used to have a lot of mudholes but somebody filled them up with a dozer
