I had the same problem, I'm not sure if this will help you or if it even applies. I was hereing the same thing so I took my bike to the honda dealer and they did a once over and discovered that the front tire was towed out 2 inches, they said that it was putting alot of stress on the drivetrain. They also told me that if I had drivin the bike much it would have done some pretty bad stuff to the tranny. Needless to say the bike is running great and the sound is gone. Sounded strange to me but I'm not complaining......lol
oh and it only costed $47.00
