Just got a uused 2001Foreman 450 ES did some work got it running took it out for the first time and noticed that the front wheels weren't turning. Jacked it up and put it in first ran it and the shaft is turning out of the motor but not spinning the shaft. Before I dive into it was just wondering how the shaft is connected can't see well with the plastic cover on so just wondering what I'm getting into. Any info would help.

there is a spline coupler that is bolted to the pinion , the drive shaft is splined to fit the coupler , I have stripped the front and bak couplers on my 450s ----if you have it jacked up and try to turn the front wheels , you might hear the clicking sound of it slipping ---- try asking this question on www.atvhonda.com
