Does anyone have a 06 foreman ES and a 05 Dodge 2500 diesel crew cab short box? I am looking into purchasing the truck but was wondering if the foreman would fit. The side to side should be ok but I am pretty sure the tailgate would have to be down but how far will the ATV stick out of the box?

Yep, I had a 03 Cummins (Sold it for a POS 6.L Excursion, what a mistake) and my Ruby. Wheeler will take up about 1/2 of the tailgate.
I would not worry about it guys around here do it all the time. Just make sure you strap it in good.

Actually, it will fit in the bed alone. I pull a 5th wheel trailer and had the tailgate removed when I had to load my '07 Foreman in the bed. It is tight but will fit. I drive an 06 Megacab with a 6'3" bed, the short bed is the only length available w/ the MegaCab for right now.
I have an 06 Foreman and a 1996 Dodge Ram 6 1/2' box. I have to keep the foreman back about 10" so the front bumper doesn't hit the rear window,at this point the rear tires of the foreman are just on the end of the box(not even on the tailgate) but the tailgate won't close.
thats with stock tires though right??

I have 25" Bighorns on ITP Type 7 rims. I will hook my winch hook on the front rack to get it away from the front panel of the bed. Otherwise it's fine. I just have a tough time putting my ramps in place due to the tires being so close to the back. Some folks might need to do this if they also pull a trailer and the tongue jack or nose of the wagon might hit the gate.
My bike has stock tires and wheels. I know I can't close the tailgate because my ramp is 7' 8½â€
Here's what I did for a Windrock trip. The strap in the centere of the tailgate ws used just to be sure that it would not fall down since I was also pulling a trailer. I usually run a couple of 2 foot ratchet straps from the tailgate latches to the post where they latch onto and then "snug" them up.
I dig the ride Jaxom!!

My Ruby had Bi/Tri-Claws on, I closed the tailgate just like Jaxom. Used the tailgate to hold machine in.
yea i have 28in outlaws cant fit. tail gate has to be down. but also i have a chevy z71.
I use 2 pcs of 6" X 6" between the front of the front tires and the front of the box to keep it from going through the window. I screwed them to a short piece of 2" X 6" and stand them up against the front of the box so the front tires sit on the 2 x 6s to hold them in place.
Just my $.02 but if ya'll put them in backwards they should fit. I have a F-150 short bed and mine does. I have to push the front end up and it sits on top of the tailgate but it fits. I also have a guard on my tailgate. like I said just my $.02. Shawn
