Hi all,
I’m new to the forum so sorry for any errors, I have a 1998 Honda foreman 450. When the engine heats up and I apply full throttle it sometimes smothers itself only giving me 1/2 power. Sometimes if I let off the throttle it will come back right straight away. Sometimes it completely dies off and cuts out. The engine gets a lot quiter when this happens. It sounds as if something is getting blocked. Some of the time it runs fine even with full throttle when it’s warm.
I have cleaned out the fuel tank, ensured all lines were clear and I checked the carb to ensure no jets were blocked however the problem persists.
Where do I go from here?
Could the exhaust be getting blocked?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Conor
