If I remember right there is no packing in it. maybe cut it in half and put packing in it or install a baffle. but it will cut the performance down.
FO-14 Tractor Muffler Question
Has anyone had any experience with quieting down a FO-14 tractor muffler? I love the power and sound, but the little lady thinks it sound obnoxious. Also it wouldn't hurt to add an aftermarket spark arrestor even though I don't think it will be a problem with the exhaust snorkel. Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct, you can look straight through the pipe. I was thinking of a bolt on resonator or something that could possible double as a spark arrestor. Most of the resonators that I've seen are upwards of $50 and I only paid 30 for the muffler. I'll probably wind up running it for awhile and see how it grows on me.
