I would try moving the needle up and adjusting the air/fuel mixture before I rejetted. I haven't had to rejet one yet with just a snorkel on it.
If you dont feel comfortable messing with the carb, you can restrick the air flow on the snorkel inlet untill you decide to play with the carb.
