Do any of you guys use the oil filters you can get at farm stores? They don't have a brand name they just say honda oil filter with a number on it. They don't even have a picture of a honda on the box, it think its a po po but the book has numbers for hondas.

On the 05 Rancher and 06 Foreman I owned, I used Wix filters. Available at any auto parts store for just a few bucks. I don't know the part # but its the same for all years of Rancher 350 and Foreman 500 (possibly more models also) Most oil filters are made by one or two companies and just branded by the company selling them (Honda, Wix, Emco, etc.)
Sure they would work just fine, I just feel a little more comfortable using something that says Honda on it.

That's my point also but my buddies use them. Their moto is "it's a honda it can take it".
How often do you change your oil? I change mine approx once a year...once a year I use a Honda filter. I spent alot of cash for a Honda Rincon, why skimp on a filter once a year.
I bought it in feb and have changed the oil 8 times now. All but one due to water in the motor.
Wix filter

The Wix filter # is 24944. That's all I've ever used.
