IMHO, get the extended warranty. You may never get to use it, but if you need it, it will definetely pay for itself. Electrical parts are not cheap and there is no way to tell if one is about to stop working. The cost of diagnosing and part replacement of the ECM will pay for the warranty itself. I have seen more than a few cases where the customer ended up w/ a $400 bill that could have been covered under warranty. Even though I can do the labor myself, I would still get the warranty if I bought one myself. Another thing to consider is how many miles you put on year. If you only use your machine for plowing in the winter it may not be worth the cost. Again, you may never need it but the slight chance you will, you're going to wish you bought it when you had the chance. My factory warranty is about to expire. I was wondering if many people get the extended warranty. If so have you felt it was worth it and how long did you get it for?
