I have recently installed an HMF utility performance pipe, just curious about "durability" i've heard about some blowing holes through etc ..most probably running justa a little to lean , but Anyways .... been tuning for a few days , and FYI i'm right now 170 main ...4th ring on the needle (i'm @ sea level), had 175 @ 3rd ring /needle .... also stock A/F , But reason i'm asking for feed back . is that i notice a slight "red" glow after a good run .... in the front (enterance) of the pipe...... Normal??? plug is perfect tan colour /dark side... , any comments welcomed

Ah , forgot something **** the factory 162 main jet ,, in my opinion , doesn't seem to be very much smaller then the Dyno Jet 170 !!!....Comments ?? anybody ever measure ??

I have never had the chance to get my hands on a 500 for jetting, so I can't help you there. I have never measured the jets either, but I do know that they are drilled different to give a different fuel flow. here is a chart to compare the different jet sizes.

, Oh very nice ...thanks Dirty Have you noticed a slight glow in the front of any you have done ???(in the front of the baffle/muffler)..... I must say i have the Bike pulling very nice and steady with the combo i have into it now,,,, i may fatt'n it up just a little , for safety reasons, also need to get a good flowing filter. But so far i'm impressed with the Throttle response, The increased Power, and torque seems to follow smoothly throughout power band just concerned about the RED glow in the front of Pipe.... ok

Humm .ok my plug is looking so nice ... ** note glow is on the inside of the pipe **....I guess i will just maybe put the 175 into it , and see if i can get rid of that "glow"......thanks
