2015 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Honda Mechanic
TWO WEEKS AGO I FLIPPED MY BIKE IN SOME MUD AND WATER. IT NO LONGER STARTS. I BROUGHT TO A MECHANIC AND FIGURED OUT THAT I'VE ONLY GO 60# OF COMPRESSION. SHOULD HAVE ABOUT 130#. MEANING THAT MY RINGS HAVE COLASPED OR SEIZED UP. HE SAID THAT THIS MAY HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE HOT MOTOR HITTING THE COOL WATER. HAS ANY HEARD OF SUCH THING. WHY DID IT ALL OF SUDDEN HAPPEN TO ME. HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM

The TRX500 Foreman should have 64 lb compression at 380 RPM...
I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO CHECK THE COMPRESSION WITH OUT IT RUNNING. MY BIKE WANT START AT ALL SO WHAT SHOULD THE COMPRESSION BE BY JUST TRYING TO TURN IT OVER.
Should be 64 lbs compression with the throttle wide open and either using the pull starter or the electric starter ,as long as the engine is turning over at 380 RPM's ..
