I got a '02 450es that is stock except the hmf penland pipe, k&n with the outerwears prefilter. I got the dyno jet kit I have been trying to get tuned in. I have a air/fuel meter I have been using. I just cant get it to have a good steady reading. How much should it change on the meter? It jumps around worse than before the kit was installed. I would greatly appreciate any help with this.

I dont know of anyone on here that has ever tried using a meter for setting the carb, I haven't used one and couldn't tell you what it is suppose to read. Most just go by sound, throttle response and a plug chop for adjusting the carbs.

Thanks for the reply Dirty4man. I used that method you described before but I like the a/f meter better. I always had excelant results before. A while back I remember seeing someone on here using one. On the 450 the ratio just jumpes around too much with the DJ. Seems like alot of people have problems with them. I adjusted it somemore eariler today and its a little better. Im trying to get this thing tuned in as close as possible so I can get maxium hoursepower out of it. I just think its still underpowered.
I think Vettpin installed a oxgen sensor on his bike to help adjust his carb. shoot him a pm, he may be able to give you some info.
