i know how to install the kit itself with the instructions but need to know if i have to remove carb and how to remove it and such, thanks
Alright,TURN off GAS first!!!then take the carb out, remove those two clamps,Then take off top peice, install the needle and washers at right hieght, close the top ut,then flip the carb and take the bottom part off, then put in the fuel mixtuer screw, udjust to right angle (in book),then put it back together and your good to go!!!!
you do not need to revove it ALL the way,but you need to be able to put it at an angle....
did you find it made a difference?
there must be a post somewhere with pics and step by step
More throttle response, but you need a pipe and an airfilter kit to notice a difference.
well i brought it to 3 atv repair mechanics and the all said they have to take the carb completley out to install the kit....i brought it home and tried it myself but gave up when i couldn't get it out enough to do the install....I GIVE UP....................................
Most of the difference comes with startup. Throttle response will improve slightly but starting is night and day difference. Good luck. (plan on some fine tuning, you will probably be a little rich with the instructions. I went down two sizes before I was right on)
what do you mean by start up? you mean when i start the bike??

Eric,
I am curious, why do you think you had to go down 2 sizes to get yours tuned right? Do you have an aftermarket air filter? Aftermarket exhaust? Or was everything stock except for the jet kit?

BTW, do you remember what size jet was stock in your 06 ES? What size did you finally end up using?

Thanks in advance,

Dave
I would have to look but I was to rich with just the K&N @~1000ft.above sea level. I did put the Mudslinger on and she runs a little lean. I haven't bothered to rejet because I am selling the pipe.
