It totally has to be a dealer thing. I was at my dealership yesterday, because my buddy was looking at bikes and I asked the salesperson about snorkeling my bike. He said if you have problems just take off the snorkel and bring it in. In fact he told be to order the little front rectangle piece in the plastic so I have a replacement incase anything happens, cost me $8. So I would definately say its a dealer thing.
