detroit gearless locker

Hi everyone i am new to this site and i have a question to ask and i need to know the answer this weekend if possible? I have a 2000 honda 450 forman and i came across a detroit locker for sale for $300 so i am very interested in it BUT its for a 2004 honda 450 #4 will this fit my bike ? My bike calls for a#1 detroit locker are they compatible its a new locler and a good deal i hate to pass it up,also does anyone have any real input on it ,like trouble maintenance ,performance of the locker or should i just sell it and buy something that is original equipment like a polaris?
