with the quiet pipe insert its about 98 db, without its around 105 db. they are loud but do sound good.

i don't know too much about the hmf swamp series but from what i understand they are suppossed to be around 92 db. you said you didn't want a snorkle and i think they will come with a regular end and a snorkel is optional. haven't read anything about the performance standpoint though.

according to hmf the penland series is a couple db's louder than the utility. call and double check before ordering. a friend around here has a penland, i've rode with him once since he got it and you can hear it above mine. just double check.
