Decompression release?

I read somewhere that my 05 Rubicon has an automatic decompression release? My problem is sometimes if the bike dies, like during the long warm up with the choke on, it will not turn over with the starter. It just kicks the starter but can't turn the motor. If I give the starter rope a little pull, just enough to turn the crank, it'll start fine with the starter. It's like there is too much compression for the starter to turn the engine.
Any ideas how to fix this quirk? Now I'm just leaving the starter rope cover off so it's east to get to, pull the rope about 6 inches and it starts fine. I remember my old 300 had a manuel release, alot to be said for simple old things!!

Anybody?
I have not noticed one under my 04 Ruby, but I will look later today
Not sure of the decompression lever, but my '05 does this once in awhile too. I keep hitting the starter button quickly (Couple times a second), until it turns. May take 10-20 pushes, but it always seems to work.

Just a hint!

Starter bendix or drive may be hangin open.
sorry to say man but the decompression is automatic, and it is build in the cam. make sure your battery is good and charged. check amps not colds. you have 12 volts but low amps and that will happen. good luck
Thanks for all the info. This quirk has not happened lately? Maybe I've just been ride'n it enough to keep the batt charged up or something?
Of course now that I've said this, it'll happen tomorrow!!
I have the same problem with one of my Rubicon 500s. Can hardly pull the pull cord on one. And is hard to turn over with electric start. But my other rubicon is smoke to pull start. I even took the starter off the good bike and tried it on the hard to pull one. Electric starter had a harder time with the hard to pull bike. I even took the battery and starter out of the good bike and put it on the hard to pull bike and the battery and starter didnt turn it over each time i hit start button( unlike the other bike)
So I believe their is a decompressor inside and its fucked

I've seen a camshaft bearing disintegrate on a Rubicon so I wouldn't be surprised that decompressors would fail too. They're not that hard to replace.
