There seems to be some uncertainty about these modes. One dealer has suggested that using D2 for extended time can damage the tranny. It seems that people are reluctant to believe this. I don't recall reading that in the owners manual. Looking for any input on this.
My observation is that when in D2 the engine RPMs seem to stay lower. Sort of like having lower shift points but I know there are not really "gears".
