custom exhaust snorkel

how did everyone make a good seal to there muffler with the plate or whatever...did yall use some kinda of oring or RTV stuff or something? or did yall just screw it metal to metal...i know when i made my plate i made it using the tip off my hmf exhaust and messed up on the hole alignment so i had to put jb weld in it and then im going to redrill the holes to line up correctly and was wondering if yall just bolted it up metal to metal...becuz i am also missing 2 of the screws for the tip
