Cracked Rear differential

Cracked the top left side of my rear diff ( with a partially popped bolt) during a trail ride this past weekend. Is there any tips or tricks that would help getting the diff off, checking the gears, replacing seams and O-rings...???
Just want to make sure that I don't miss something while I have it apart.

you need to check backlash on the gear set and check for broken teeth and a bent case. i would buy a new rear .
