I use a similar box for hunting. I just remove the rear passanger seat and use ratchet straps to secure the box to the rear rack. The straps keep the box from bouncing around and just make sure that it is tightly filled with softer items like extra clothes to keep things from bouncing around inside. It's also a good idea to pack the contents in plastic bags to protect against water and dust on the trails.
