hey i was looking on the rincon forums and i saw that people have been clipping their carb spring in half for beter performance...can we do that with our FORMAN 500's? anyone have any idea...cuz it would be a good mod..from wut i hear...thanks
i cut the up end so it rests against the metal cover and not the rubber diaphragm. the mod does work very well tho i say as now i can't wheelie at all on the driveway because when i mash the throttle it just spins the rear tires off in second gear.I'll have to try it in the dirt soon.I can't believe such a simple mod works so well.
it's not that you get more Hp at all but just a much more responsive throttle ya know??my rancher had great power before but it is now really responsive to hitting the throttle now after clipping the spring.how much did you cut off and is your jetting dead on? I know my jetting is right on and maybe that's what made it seem so noticable.
