hey i was looking on the rincon forums and i saw that people have been clipping their carb spring in half for beter performance...can we do that with our FORMAN 500's? anyone have any idea...cuz it would be a good mod..from wut i hear...thanks
Check out the time differance between posts thats how long I have been riding and bumps hills logs hitting trees and sudden stops didnt change the way it ran ,It was great!! but I may have to set the choke up again .Cold starts run ruff and I have to watch the choke setting closer on warm up but what ever the throttel response is great
This is how it works #14 is the spring to cut ,by cutting it makes it weeker and takes less vacume to pull the diaphram up#22,the needle is conected to the diaphram and slides in and out of the main jet,by cutting the spring the carb dumps fuel in faster, this is how you get quicker response
Everyone that I ride with has done this mod and all have noticed the differance ,I myself can hammer on the throttle and lift the front wheeles and couldnt before,so it does work ,as far as mixing the fuel if its dumping too much in it will lose power,
