I cut my spring tonight. My photos are somewhat like AkATVHunter.

Pic 1 is the stock carb spring from a Foreman 500

Pic 2 is the stock carb spring cut on the 13 coil. Notice you must count the bunch of coils at the end of the spring. There are 3 bunched together.

Sorry photos are blurry, I was in a hurry.

I took my Foreman for a test drive and it did have better throttle responce. I will take it out for a ride this weekend for further testing.

I see that everyone is trying this mod, and i think i will to. I have 2 questions for those that have done it , Do you find that the bike burns more gas than before during normal driving ( compared to before you cut the spring ) Are you burning more gas because you can't keep your thumb off the throttle ?? ( LOL)
I rode about 30 miles this past weekend and I can really tell a major difference. I can't really tell that much of a mileage difference though. My Foreman seems it found that little bit of "umph" it was looking for. I still can't out run my friends 05 Rubicon though. Those Ruby's are just brutes. Rubicon will most likely be my next atv.....years down the road.
