ok heres the problem, my friends recon stalls when it goes up any kind of hill. it dont matter if its steep or just a small incline. he is thinking it is the float valve. is he right, what do you all think? i need a reply as soon as possible.
now for the second question and this one is not as important but he still needs to know in a day or so. he is wanting a lift for his recon also. what is the biggest lift you can put on it without breaking stuff? i am thinking maby a 3". also can he fit 25" gators on the back with out a lift?
thanks alot,Aaron

well he got th new float valve in and it still stalls but not as much. what do you all think is wrong? we are pretty much stumped so any help would be great.

I would look at the float level, you probably need a manual for the specs, but the float level might be out of adjustment.Did he replace the float? New floats need to be adjusted when installed.Does it feel like it is running out of fuel when it stalls?Maybe you can duplicate it in the garage by using a floor jack under the front end and jacking the ATV up,then see what hasppens. As far as the lift goes,if it was me I wouldn't put a liftf on.I installed my stock 25" tires from my Foreman on my wife's Recon and they fit without a problem,It really went through the sh*t with those tires on!
he did not replace the flote but he did replace the flote vavle, would that make it not run right? he said that it is doing what you described.

I would take the carb. apart again and make sure everything is really clean.Make sure the float is not sticking.
thanks for all the help, i will let you know if it works.
