Turning the key off then on again will re-set the ES system .. If it does it again count the flashes between the pause...
blinking in 5th gear
I was out riding my 05 foreman es today and all the sudden it started flashing in 5th gear and wouldn't come out of gear. I got home and turned it off and then it was fine.

mine did the same thing..... its a sensor on front of the block i think its called a shift sensor or something like that.. bout 40 bucks...let me know if it helps or u figure it out
It's called a "Shift-Angle-Sensor".
