There were no waterproof 3000# gorilla winches on eBay when I looked.
I got mine on ebay, it did not say anything about being waterproof but I have had no problems with it and it gets wet everytime out. I have about $225 with the winch, rope, and new fairlead.

As you will read on here, the 3000 lb has a clearance issue with the fender brackett. You may want to go with the 2500 model. I had to bend the "wings" of the mount plate and the fender brace? Also turned the hot terminal down, i.e. rotated the motor 180 degrees.

i got the gorilla 3000. i hated their mounting plate... after marango i took it off and used my old ramsey one. worked perfect. their mounting plate for my bike is the worst 50 bucks ive ever spent. and still have it if u want to take it off my hands.
The mounthing plate I got with mine worked just fine. I wonder if they sent you the wrong one.
