My wife bought me a 2012 Foreman 500 es and for some reason, she did not notice the rear of the vehicle bounces up and down at low speeds. I jacked up the rear and placed the vehicle in 1st. What I noticed is that the rear bounces up and down at a particular place in the rotation of the tire. When it would idle and the tire is spinning it would slow down at a particular place and then speed up a little when it gets past a certain place in the rotation.

What do you think it is?

Hard to say without looking at it. It might be a bent axle, bent wheel, mismounted or damaged tire.

Could also be a wheel bearing, or the splines between the hubs and axle could be trashed.

Update- I read in the forum about an out-of-round tire from sitting flat. Ok, interesting. So i inflated the tire to max pressure to see if the hopping would change. Sure enough it did.

Thank goodness that is all it was.
