ive heard of 17' center consoles making the croosing but i am not doing it

I wouldnt take my 24' boat across, but i have this problem with being in he middle of the ocean with only one engine..if it breaks your fooked. but i imagine if you have the fuel capacity and the weather gods(ive seen the ocean go from flat to nasty in no time when the afternoon thunderstorms roll in) are with you and you follow a couple of other boats you could do it. How much fuel can you carry?
We already have reservations to go over July 4th weekend. Heading to Lucaya for 4 days
Lucaya!!!!! Now thats what I am talking about!!!!!! I wouldn't try crossing the pond with anything smaller than a 25 ft. It is 56 miles one way but you can get fuel there for about $5.00 a gallon. I carry 180 gallons myself but have twin 225 yamahas...
