I have been having something similar. I put in a new battery and tested the volts and it was charging at about 14.9 volts so I put in a new voltage regulator. It dropped to 13.8 volts when running. So the next week I took it out and it ran good. About 3 weeks go by and I cranked it the night before using it and everything was good. Next morning it was dead. No power and battery was at about 2 volts. I never leave the key in the bike so I did not leave it on over night. I get another new battery and every thing is good for about 3 weeks. I did some work around the house using it and it run fine. next day battery is dead again no key in the bike. Mine bike is 2004 450s. Any help would be great.

How did you test your regulator? I’m not very good at testing electric systems. I YouTube it and they all said you can only test part of the regulator. It is also a resistor and converted ac to dc and that was the part most of them could not test.
on mine I just put my battery on a charger and I am not going to reconnect my which to see if that is my problem.
