Audio tubes??

Does anyone here own or know someone that has an Audio Tube speaker setup? If so, how do they hold up, how is the sound, etc. The price is pretty attractive, especially since all I use is an iPod and don't need a cd player/stereo.

I like it, is it water proof?????? Where do you get them?
nice looking setup. kinda looks like some painted 4" or 6" PVC 90's and pulp piece glued together.
The guys that make them say that they are very waterproof, and that they have had them under water several times. I found them here...www.balls-deep-atv.com

I think I may make one of those with some marine speakers.

EDIT
I thought you would need amplification but now see that it has its own.

also says they are NOT fully waterproof but they have submerged theirs
Sorry gang, I think they are queer. I go to the woods to get away from the boomers and thumpers, now I have to listen to this **** while riding my ATV???? Might as well get some spinner wheels and gold-leaf scallops.
I actually feel the same way you do about the thumpers and such, but it would be nice to have some tunes when you are traveling with a bunch of guys and you stop for a kool aid break. It's kind of like a rolling party. We ride for awhile, then we stop and have a few kool aids. Just my .02!

I could see that, I guess. My problem is, last night was the ATV pulls at the fair, and they had a new Ranger there, with HUGE speakers, thumping like a ghetto-sled. Made me sick.

That sounds like its wayyyy over the top! I bet it was a kid riding it, with half of his underwear sticking out over the top of his way too big pants right? LOL
10-4 on the KOOL AID breaks.
Bump so I can find it again.
a person i ride with has a setup like that but he made his own and it is accually nice after really long rides. just stop to take a break and lisen to some tunes. i think his is holding up great. sorry but i like thumpers too, i have a set in my truck but i have to draw the line at that rap crap, i leave that stuff to the hommies.

I am glad you guys are far away from where I ride. I go to the woods for peace and quiet and to get back to nature. Maybe around the parking area the noise is cool, but in the woods it is rude.

a little mood music with a cold beverage cant be nearly as bad to mother nature as ripping through her with loud pipes? dont know of many quiet woods with a four wheeler sittin in the middle of it. ya know.
I don't Use loud pipes, and rip around tearing up the trails. I just sort of ease along and when I stop all I hear is the wind in the trees, and the birds, and the sound of a stream running near by.

But to each his own. There is a time and a place for every thing. I just dont go where the noisy crowd goes. (or I go on a day and time when every one else is at work) We all enjoy our sport in a way that suits us.

The only problem I really have with any one is when I find empty cans or trash laying around. If you can pack it in full, you can surely pack it out empty.

Enjoy.
i agree, pack it in, pack it out.
We have one of these in our group. He's submerged his and no problems. Sounds real good for such a small setup and just like ya'll said just plug in the pod and start playin. I would recommend it for 160.00 that ain't bad
