ATV Trail Mower Tire Gaurds and Elec Start Hook up

Hello all I have the Following a Bush Hog GT-42 "I think" rough cut pull behind trail mower I use and have made a couple of improvments to.

Hey it has a Honda engine.

First was after I caught a tree and bent the Axle I made some Tree Gaurds that will slide the Mower around trees and protect the wheels from getting caught and bending the axle again. just some Angle Iron weld up on to the mower deck,

Next was the Mower has an electric starter on it. since I bought the Mower Used $250.00 I didn't get wiring harrness that goes to the ATV with it and I also use different ATV's to mow with so I wanted something that would work regardless of which machine I was pulling the mower with. Enter the ever trusty Jump Pack. I went down to auto parts store got 2 of the Side Mount Battery screw in terminals that make them a post mount, Made up a bracket for mounting them up by the Throttle control and ran the Cables back to the starter on the mower. Now to start the mower I have the Jump Pack on the rear Rack of ATV tied down and run the jump cables to the battery termials on the mower and then my Jump Pack has an on/off swicth just turn it to on mower starts to crank over and start and away I go.

Just thought I would share.

enjoy,
Sublime out.

nice man. my unlce bout a 62in pull behind something like that..
Man,You found a good deal!! I wish I had one of those, they're almost 2 grand new!
I will give you another idea. cut out the back of it were the metal comes around the back it lets the grass get thrown out and will not bog down.
