I have some family in the tire business.
Sometimes I even get a better deal than people off the street! haha
I did some trail making (aka riding) Wed. night and was impressed with the smooth ride of these aggressive tires. Lots of bite.
Got into a steep river bank with some silt, sand and mud combination and dug into it very fast. Even though these aren't a true mud tire the lugs didn't completely plug up even after a couple attempts before going for the winch. Still smiling

Like others have said, I don't know why more people aren't running this tire...to me, it was a no brainer over several of the ITP's. They had the width I wanted (9&11), the tread design with a deep lug, the 6 ply rating with the radial ride, and lighter weight than many ITP's. And, from what I've been told, Carlisle makes ITP's!!

Probably just because Carlisle hasn't been known (to me at least) for making great tires in the past like ITP has been doing since they came out. Name value means a lot these days I suppose.

Just wanted to add that I took Gm Doc's advice and bought Carlisle tires for my Rubicon CTE before it even left the dealership. I love them, he and I ride together and there's been a few times where we could go places that others with "full" mud tires couldn't. We've ridden over all kinds of terrain and they work great. A buddy and I had a couple drinks last summer and did a brake torque with my four wheeler on pavement ( sounded like a good idea at the time) and the tires held up ALOT better then I thought they would, not something I recommend! I even one a local Mud Bog competition and I credit these tires. I beat some other guys with every type of mud tire, but my bike got thru in half of anyone else's time,
Hope this helps anyone still not sure about Carlisle tires
