They had a recall on 05 foremans a while ago, I still haven't taken mine in. Does anyone know if the the dealers would have a problem working on one with new wheels and bigger tires?

Didn't know if I should put the stock ones back on before I take it in to get it worked on.

Thanks,

Dropped both of mine off yesterday. I am going out of town and won't be back till the 20th. So I asked the dealer if i could leave them there and they get to the recall before the 20th. They said sure. Now about the bigger tires. My dealer told me that nothing you do to the bike can affect the recall. I turned my foreman in with the 28 zillas, and completely snorkled out. They said no prob. Now I did say that they would never see the bike with the mods I have on it in for warrenty work. They told me as long as it doesn't have any warrenty voiding mods on when it comes in the dorr for warrenty it won't matter. They don't care, honda pays them for warranty work.

Thanks for the input guys. The card I got in the mail said they would send another notice stating when they got the parts in for fixing the recall. I still haven't gotten a letter so I'm just taking mine in. I have to use my foreman on the farm and the last thing I want is the tie rod end to come apart while I'm moving down the road 50 mph.

Thanks,

Recall

Here is all the info you need <a href="http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml05/05157.html" target="_blank">http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml05/05157.html</a>
Funny though My Canadian VIN bike is not affected even though it's built in the same factory. There are no recalls that i can find up here and i have not heard from Honda. There was and still is abit of play in the tie rods and it was like that new, my 250 recons were loose as well.
You can be sure i will keep an eye on them though. I hope you guys don't get any hassels from your dealers.

Can I just call the dealer and get go pick up both inner and outer tierods? And replace them myself?

Or do they not allow that?
3 of my 4 are bad so I want to replace all 4. One outer has alot of play in it to the point that it makes knocking noises when I shake the tire.

Needlesss to say I have not ridden it in a couple weeks. But I dont have a trailer anymore,, and I dont think I can get it on my truck

There's a good chance they won't give you the parts to change, at least thats the way the warranty works up here. they will also probably only change the loose ones because Recall stuff gets recalled back to Honda for inspection and if parts are changed and aren't loose the dealer can get a pee pee slap if you know what i mean. I dosen't hurt to ask though.
