Anyone got a pistol holster on their atv??

You can buy a holster for the same price that you could use any time.

Where do you live where you can carry a pistol while you ride and why do you need one?

South Carolina. Only when hunting. Some of our stands are a tight fit and things hanging from your belt came be cumbersome. I just carry it to play with, critters not woth wasting high dollar rounds on.

I always take mine whenever I'm at Coal Creek. You never know, I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

well its harvest time if you know what i mean. im going to harlan county, ky to ride this weekend (site of atv nation national ride this year). second time there. i dont look for trouble but was told by a good friend who lives there that it would be a good idea.

we are also going to hunt rattlesnakes. we have a source to find them. a buddy wants to catch one and stuff it no marks on it. has anyone done this or have any ideas on how to do this without leaving a hole in it?

choking the snake. that reminds me of a joke. seriously. i dont think i could do that my reactions arent that quick. he doesnt want any damage to it or for it to at least be a minimum amount to have it stuffed. ill pass it on and ill let yall know how it comes out.

they have whats called a rattlesnake roundup down here every year.....i'd just assume blow its head off but i have killed one with a big stick.....scared the **** out of me too

Nope don't know what you mean. If you need a gun you should not be there.

Wow..."If you need a gun, you should not be there." IMHO...people usualy cary firearms because they dont know weather theyre going to need it or not. I take mine on rides, because as much as Id like to believe it, the world is not full of flower picking individual honest people like it used to be. Most people dont have any respect for their things or themselves, let alone somone else or their wheeler. Harvest time is Hunting Season.

I believe what he ment by "Harvest Time" is marijuana . Around here we carry a pistol with us because there is alot of pot grown on the mountains .
Not too uncommon to run upon a "lookout" and they are typically armed .

exactly. you wonder too far off trails for anything you dont know what youll run into. just the way things are some places. ive never run into trouble on the trail and i never look for it. half the time i do have a pistol with me though. some times it is fun just to unload a 45 at whatever you may find ya know.

Ok I see your guys point now. But for the life of me I can't see why you would risk your life or the life of someone else to go to these places where you would even worry about it. I guess it's so strange to me because you can't carry loaded gun on you here in Illionis (a communist state). Thank you Chicago. I guess I really never thought about it. Do what you got to do to be safe. Where would I find the laws to know what state we can carry guns like this? What kind of guns do you guys carry?

There are several states like Florida that allow you to carry a concealled firearm. Check your local state laws for this. Anywhere on line...
